Q:When you decide it’s time to make a new record, is that more exciting or stressful?

Ans: Not really stressful or exciting, when I write it’s usually a form of venting which is why my lyrics are usually simple and straight to the point. The excitement comes when I find the perfect beat to match the tone of my music.

Q:  How do you shut things out?

Ans: Sometimes I meditate other times I listen to old-school Haitian music that reminds me of a simpler time.

Q: How easily do songs tend to come to you?

Ans : Good question I wish I had an answer for you. Songs come to me often but I can’t say that they come easy.

Q: What is you favorite song to belt out at the bar/in the car?

ANs: That’s an easy one “Bust your windows” by Jazmine Sullivan

Q: For our readers who have never heard your music, explain your sound in 5 words?

Ans: Unique, Soulful, Revealing, Emotional, & Brave.

Q: You write all of your own music; where do you draw inspiration from when you write songs and what’s your favorite part about the process?

ANS: When writing, my inspiration comes from various sources; it can be an argument, a teachable moment etc. My favorite thing about that process is when I’m nearing the end of the lyrics my heart skips a beat it’s like my body letting me know how vulnerable I was with the lyrics and how frightening it might be if the outside world does not accept it.
