Cupid Valentino is a driven, direct and charismatic artist with a really special approach. His sound is a unique combination of hip-hop, and R&B, blurring the lines between great melodies and a killer lyrical flow.
Cupid is originally from Silsbee, Texas, a smaller town in the Lone Star State. However, he relocated to Houston, where he enrolled into Texas Southern College and kept working on his artistic career, as well as sports and entertainment. His style is magnetic and forward-thinking going for a combination of great lyric, engaging vocals and good production aesthetics.
Q:When you decide it’s time to make a new record, is that more exciting or stressful?
Ans: It’s definitely more exciting than stressful to work on a new record . It’s nothing like getting in the zone of the melody and creating something great.
Q: How do you shut things out?
Ans: Most times i just have to turn on some beats and once i hear the beats everything else is out of my mind
Q: How easily do songs tend to come to you?
Ans : I was blessed with the sound of melody so when i listen to beats the melody just comes to me. After I put the melody in its just a process of putting the right words in the right spots. So they tend to come to me pretty easy.
Q: What is you favorite song to belt out at the bar/in the car?
Ans: Right now I have this new song that sounds soooo great in my car.

Ans: Mellow , Smooth, Energizing, Thoughtful, & Great!
Q: At what age did you start making music?
ANS:I started making music when i was about 12 years old with my friends we form a group called TYG and made all type of songs everyday after school at my buddy Josh house
Q: If you could perform with anyone, in the future, who would it have to be?
Ans: I would love to perform with some of the older artist . I think that L L Cool J and I would be a great show. Seems like a very energize show.
Q: Who are your favorite musicians? Groups? CD’s?
Ans: LL Cool J , Ice Cube, New Edition, Trey Songz
Q: Do you get nervous before a performance or a competition?
Ans: I haven’t perform in awhile but i use to always be nervous before a show but when i start its the most amazing feeling in the world
Q: How do you balance your music with other obligations – mate, children, job?
Ans: It’s really hard balancing music and my other life but its all about scheduling and sticking to what you schedule. Hard work and dedication will help you become successful
