An Interview With Beautiful Artist Syzl Lytnin

After successfully launching her sunglasses line “H8taBlockaz,” Syzl Lytnin not only wanted us to know that she was business savvy, but also talented. Syzl has recently launched her single “H8taBlockaz,” which means to block the negatively and look good while doing it. Q: When you decide it’s time to make a new record, is that more exciting or stressful?

Ans:  It’s always exciting to create something new!

Q:  How do you shut things out?

Ans:  By not giving it too much of my attention/energy.

Q: How easily do songs tend to come to you?

Ans :  Very easy!  I always have a beat in my head.

Q: What’s your motto or the advice you live by?

Ans:  Look Good Feel Great!

Q: What is you favorite song to belt out at the bar/in the car?

ANs:  Too Short – Blow the Whistle

Q: For our readers who have never heard your music, explain your sound in 5 words?

Ans:  Fun, direct, fresh, boom, bang

Q: You write all of your own music; where do you draw inspiration from when you write songs and what’s your favorite part about the proccess?

ANS:  When I write ALL my music my inspiration comes from me feeling a certain way or having something to say at that moment. My favorite part about this process is using my outlet which is writing, to release my emotions.

Q: At what age did you start singing?

ANS:  Age 9 in the church choir

Q:Who are your inspirations?

Ans:  Beyoncé, Lil Kim, Missy Elliot, Gucci Mane, Nicki Minaj

Q: If you could perform with anyone, in the future, who would it have to be?

Ans:  Beyoncé

Q: What is your favorite song to sing live?

Ans:  Chaka Khan – I’m Every Woman

Q:Do you have any events coming up or recording going on right now?

Ans: Plenty of events coming up and I am currently working on my first album

Q:Do you have any advice for anyone wanting to sing as a career or just advice about careers in general?

Ans :  Believe and invest in yourself
