An Exclusive Interview With Talented Artist Jeremy Hagan

My name is Jeremy Hagan but most people call me “Steel”. I gained custody of the name back in the early 2000’s. I use to rap with a group call B.O.B. before they changed the name to 3strikes. I became a solo artist back in 2010. I use to rap about things I didn’t own but now I’m telling my life story. My music so deep you can’t help but fall into a deep thought. I paint pictures so vividly.

I’m fromSavannah Georgia, some call it a jungle. I’m 24 now I’ll be 25 next year. I just released my book, World War 3 Me VS. My Past on amazon.com. Just uploaded my mixtape on SpinRilla, Jeremy Hagan World War 3. I escaped my past and got caught in the future….. Follow along to see how the story unfolds.

When you decide to write a book is that exciting or stressful?

Well I was stuck in the middle at the beginning of the whole process. I was more excited when I received the first copy of my book. I was stressed out during the release timing of my book, because someone was saying my book was about them. I refuse to speak on the case but I thought homicide detectives would’ve stopped my process.

How do you shut things out?

I become absent to things that doesn’t make me happy or if the situation is toxic.

How easily do songs tend to come to you?

I write off of emotions and my feelings. So if the world is turning every second, I’m thinking of something new to create everyday. I’m addicted to expressing my thoughts it’s really insane.

Do you feel like the ghetto is a nightmare?

Not at all. I mean we all have a choice to break chains but most of us accept where we are today. I always believe in doing the unthinkable. That’s why my music touch souls. I put faith back in the streets and gave my friends a different outlook on the struggle.

What one thing would give up to become a better writer?

I need to give up bad habits and stop procrastinating while being deep in my thoughts. Honestly working a 9 to 5 will slow you down at anything you love.

Who are your inspirations?

God is my drive. Jamie is my oldest brother and I love him with all my heart. I respect his grind and his mind. You can’t challenge him at all
Jared is my right hand. Every weekend we ride to my music just so we can catch flaws and get better with time.

Do you believe in living in the past?

Not at all. My front drive window is bigger than my rear for a reason.

If you didn’t write, what will you do for work?

I’ll probably paint. Lol I don’t know what I’ll do lol

Do you attend sessions? What makes a good session?

I’m in studio every weekend. Honestly, a great session is built off energy and chemistry. You can never plan a session. You have to just go and set the vibe Immediately
