Hip hop head, music lover, soul survivor, creative and a guy who lives and breathes HUSTLE.
Q: Tell us about your music background and upbringing with hip hop culture?
Musically drawn in since a kid, was very much into dancing in the basement with my cousins to old jams my mom and aunties would play at their parties. Then we started snooping in the albums when our parents would leave…and find NWA albums at the bottom of the pile. From there I was in love with hip hop and everything attached to it from fashion to lifestyle.
Q:Describe your hip hop production
Feel Good, vintage, soulful, story telling, unorthodox & unpredictable at times.
Who are some of your producer hero’s?
Daz Dillinger, Dj Quik, The Alchemist, Jay Dilla & Madlib
What are your “Go To” production tools?
MPC (Studio & 2000XL), Maschine, Vintage Keyboards, Vinyl & Turntable
How long have you been producing for?
Over a decade strong, perfection in the sound, comes with time. Im more ready than ever now.
What inspires you and what makes you want to keep producing music?
I’m inspired by life itself, the keep going of it, the passion…….I definitely have to be producing music!! LOL!! With producing It allows you to put your emotions in, and completely forget everything that is
going on around you. I’m blessed to be able to make a living doing what I love, and at the same sharing it with people and having them enjoy it as well.
What’s in the store for Uncle Jonh III?
I just launched my production company (Da Relativez Music Group LLC.) and with that, I’ll be releasing 15+ projects all produced by myself entirely, as well as my instrumental project “Supper” and I got some merch on the way. Just going to be putting out a lot of dope sh*t for the culture honestly. And I’m havin’ fun…no industry politics! This is for the music!
