An Exclusive Interview With Talented Artist Ramiah

How easily do songs tend to come to you?
Most of the time melodies just pop into my head and I work around that or I’ll listen to a beat and come with a melody within an hour.

At what age did you start singing?

I started singing when I was 2 years old

Do you have any advice for anyone wanting to sing as a career or just advice about careers in general?

I’d say follow your heart at times when an artist tells people they are pursuing music they’re looked down on but it’s your life, not theirs. And do what makes you happy. A team of supporters builds around you once you believe in yourself full-heartedly.

What’s your motto or the advice you live by ?

Be the 1% not 99%.

For our readers who have never heard your music explain your sound in 5 words?

Soulful, angelic, passionate , deep, genuine

Who are your inspirations?

God because without him I wouldn’t even have the talent or creativity.

When you decide to make a new record, is that more exciting or stressful?

it’s more exciting in my opinion but it can be a little overwhelming because sometimes I get so excited with the creativity that I write down too much quickly. I’m learning to just slow down and breathe.

Do you have any events coming up or recording going on right now?

I’m in the process of recording my album that I can’t wait to release.

what do you practice?

Vocally I work on my voice by practicing or trying out new runs and etc. Physically I’m working on my stamina and endurance. I want to be a really good performer so I have to make sure I’m in shape for that.

Is your family musical?

I have musically inclined parents. My father ( and his whole side of the family) is a singer and my mother sings as well. And I have other family members who do different things in the music field. So it’s interesting to see the variety of talent.
