Q: What genres of music do you perform?
Ans: I am a Country/Rock/Soul Vocalist.
Q: At what age did you start singing?
Ans: I began singing at the age of three but it was at the age of nine that I formally decided I wanted to be a vocalist. I began taking lessons and learning the craft at this age.
Q:What was your inspiration to start singing?
Ans: I initially loved watching and hearing my mother, a professional vocalist and international recording artist, sing and perform. Watching her instantly made me fall in love with music and the way it made me feel. For me, there has always been a beautiful enchantment with forming words into lyrics and ultimately into a song.
Q:When you decide it’s time to make a new record, is that more exciting or stressful?
Ans: I promised myself long ago that I would keep my feelings enjoyable when it came to songwriting and singing so regardless of the type of song I have to create, I try to keep things as less stressful as possible. This includes my environment where I’m creating.
Q: How do you shut things out?
Ans:I actually love using meditation and mindfulness practices. They truly allow me to center myself and find peace in the moment.
Q: What’s your motto or the advice you live by?
Great question. When it comes to taking on projects and life itself, courage and vulnerability have been major themes in my life. One of the best pieces of advice that I received was,
“Being courageous and vulnerable aren’t about not having fear. It’s about feeling the fear and vulnerability yet doing it anyway.”
Q:Do you have any events coming up or are you recording right now?
Ans:My current project is near and dear to me due to the fact that although I have been in the music industry for over 20 years this is going to be my first musical project that focuses on me as an artist. Many who know me know me as a music and vocal producer, arranger and songwriter.
