An Exclusive Interview With Talented Artist Jushaun

My name is Jushaun, I’m an artist from Naranja, FL. I try not to box myself into one genre but if I had to it’ll be hip-hop. I grew up with a heavy r&b influence and big imagination so you’ll see me always incorporate that into my music. I’ve been writing since elementary where I would get in trouble for my early explicit lyrics. Over time, life changes and a couple different rap name changes you now have JUSHAUN. Get to know me better through the journey of music we’re about to embark on.

Q:When you decide it’s time to make a new record, is that more exciting or stressful?

Ans: It’s exciting, every new record is a new opportunity to show my growth. Every day I learn something new or take in new content so I’m always excited to see what I’m gonna end up saying on a record.

Q: How easily do songs tend to come to you?

Ans : Super easy but I have to find that right beat first.

Q: What’s your motto or the advice you live by?

Ans: Never overlook a great opportunity.

Ans: Smooth, Funky, Unique, Unorthodoxed, HIPHOP

Q: You write all of your own music; where do you draw inspiration from when you write songs and what’s your favorite part about the proccess?

ANS: I draw inspiration from everything I see in a day. I draw inspiration from whatever is going on in my life at the time I write the record as well.

Q: If you could perform with anyone, in the future, who would it have to be?
Ans: J.Cole hands down.

Q:What is your favorite song to sing live?
Ans: This Funk

Q:When and why did you start writing?

ANS: I started writing in elementary and it was because I had to many ideas in my head. I had to release some out on paper or I think my head would of exploded.

Q: Who are your favorite musicians? Groups? CD’s?

Ans: J. Cole, Kdot, Drake, Jay-Z, Bryson Tiller, Kanye and Big Sean to name a few.

Q: Do you get nervous before a performance or a competition?

Ans: Never

Q: What advice would you give to beginners who are nervous?

Ans: Be yourself and be confident. When you’re in a room with random people, you have the opportunity to show them a side of yourself that will make they eyes wide and engaged in the performance.
