“DESERT FLOWER” is the official music video from Zumbi’s latest album titled “Ahead of Time”. Zumbi goes for a classic downtempo hybrid style with the dark soul of “Ahead of Time”. A whole slew of styles enters into the mix for they draw from hip-hop, funk, reggae, dub, techno and more bringing so much radiantly hued atmospheres in to give it a sense of universality. They jump from genre to genre with ease, making for a surprisingly cohesive album given their undeniable ambition. Best of all the vocals help to serve as a bit of the grounding force for the entire journey, working as a unifying theme of everything.
