Although Miami is his home,Video is now based in Orlando, Florida. Author of 3 published books, Video is no stranger to writing. He is raising the standard in the music industry without any ghost-writers.
Q:When you decide it’s time to make a new record, is that more exciting or stressful?
Ans: its a little bit of both. its always exciting to start a new process, but at the same time ,in the back of your mind you are thinking…Man..what happens when i get stuck, or i run out of ideas. So you gotta find something to keep that spark of excitement moving forward
Q: How do you shut things out?
Ans: I have a pair of SENNHEISER RS 175-headphones and the music studio at home is my place where i can get anything done. When I’m out and about i take my overpriced LIMITED ADDITION Beat studio3 headphones ,they have a block out feature ,so…when I’m in music mode…i talk to no-one until I’m done.
Q: How easily do songs tend to come to you?
Ans : Songs come fairly easy to me…i never seem to run out of ideas when needing subject matter. its one of the perks of being a author. you have sorta like a one up on most artist-so to speak
Q: What’s your motto or the advice you live by?
Ans: Try not to have a plan B. , with that said i do understand that, “sometimes on the way to your dream, you find a better one”. but you want to try to focus on one thing. if you chase two rabbits, normally you end up losing both
Q: You write all of your own music; where do you draw inspiration from when you write songs and what’s your favorite part about the proccess?
ANS: i do write all my material. i draw most inspiration from people. seeing how they respond to catch phrases and different lyrics that i verbalize in different ways…- my favorite part of the processs is finding the balance between deliverance without sacrificing my freedom to speak it how i want.
Q:Do you have any events coming up or recording going on right now?
Ans: I am working on my new Album TITLED: “Even The Music Lies”-due to release on Jan-29th-2018- 10 to 12 songs- two of which i have already leaked to the public. The album release party will go down the same day.
Q:How does the conversation go when someone pitches the performance to you?
Ans: Usually they approach me with i thought your performance was amazing-or..i love your story lines or..what would it cost to get you to…. and so on… usually i make that processs easy- 1) What are you needing or looking for- 2) what are you looking to spend compensation wise 3) Time/ Place- Expectations.
Q: Which famous musicians do you admire? Why?
Ans: I Like “USHER“— always for the people always gives 100% performance wise—smooth!! i also like “PITBULL”- very energetic of course Mr (305) miami-my home town, fun fun fun music but most importantly he makes music for every race color or creed…Mr International…i admire that—- and then there is ACE-HOOD & TRICKDADDY… – street grit- thug life type manner…i can get with it because thats the life i was raised in… so i respect it forever
Q: How do you handle mistakes during a performance?
Ans: First off..i keep my composure- no one know what this suppose to look like…and part of being a music artist means creating on the fly- keep it moving no matter what..bring in crowd participation if you have to but for god sake, keep it professional at all times. making mistakes is a fun part of this whole journey- not pointing fingers!!- When i make a mistake i smile and i keep the show moving!!!
