Dark Rouge Park, a Detroit-based raw, soulful, and dark electronic trio committed to pursuing life’s more shadowed topics often left out of lyrics by typical musicians and producers, is shedding light on important issues we often overlook throughout our daily lives.
The only band dedicated to singing songs about the negative aspects of life as their own unique performance style, Dark Rouge Park explores topics like depression, suicide, domestic violence, child abuse, death, lost love, and so many other heart wrenching states.we recently interview with Edina Simon
Sntmag: How easily do songs tend to come to you?
Ans : It depends. I believe I am really sensitive to feel the most of music style, but sometimes I need more listening to have the feeling of songs.
Sntmag: What’s your motto or the advice you live by?
Ans: Do it, feel it, believe it, and it works!
Sntmag: For our readers who have never heard your music, explain your sound in 5 words?
Ans: special, meaningful, interesting, imressive, psychedelic
Sntmag: At what age did you start singing?
ANS: 10 🙂
Sntmag:Who are your inspirations?
Ans: my Mom <3
Sntmag: Which famous musicians do you admire? Why?
Ans: My favourite band is The Corrs. Their music have some instruments that I love in music: violin, acoustic guitar etc.. Beautiful, trained singing voice, many back vocals, nice songs. I really like them.
Sntmag: Which famous musicians have you learned from?
Ans: In practice I had buy singing lessions from a famous hungarian singing master Maria Toldy, but I was impressed by a lot of singer and musicians: Whitney Houston, The Corrs, Pink Floyd, and a lot of hungarian musicians, who I work with.
Sntmag: If you had a soundtrack to your life what song/songs would have to be on it?
Ans : Bryan Adams: Everything I do I do it for you, Moloko: Sing it back, Pink Floyd: Run like hell
Sntmag: Were you influenced by old records & tapes? Which ones?
Ans: Pink Floyd: Atom heart mother, and some hungarian records: Piramis, LGT…
