Aaron Salem, the rapper, the singer, the inspiration. Aaron is Cuban/Canadian and was born & raised in Miami, FL. On December 12, 2013, Aaron signed to Heavy Management Worldwide. Since then, his music has been digitally distributed to all platforms such as VEVO, iTunes, Spotify, Tidal, etc. At his first Meet & Greet in Miami, FL, too many fans attended and it was shutdown due to over crowding! Having more than 10 music videos, a huge fan base, taking over social media, and having only 2 albums, he has reached international notoriety from North America & Canada, to Australia & Europe. His sister battled with drug addiction for 12 years before dying from an overdose on April 19, 2014. This gave Aaron more purpose to his writing and music by still keeping it gritty, but non-profane and drug free. His hit song “The Moment” has been directly accredited for saving a young fan’s life after she heard it while writing her suicide letter. Aaron quotes, “That type of success means everything”.We recently chit chat with Aaron Salem
SntMag: Where did you grow up?
I was Born & Raised in Miami, FL.
SntMag: What is your background?
I’m Cuban & Canadian.
SntMag: Have you performed around Miami?
Yeah I have. At the Sun Life Stadium, The War Memorial Auditorium, and Pitbull’s stage at Calle Ocho just to name a few.
SntMag: Musically, what are your biggest influences and who are your favorite artists?
My fans influence me the most. Just the fact that thousands have my songs on repeat pushes me to keep making great music. My top artists (not in order) are: Eminem, Drake, Kanye West, J. Cole, Justin Timberlake.
SntMag: The ladies want to know are you single?
I am lol. The real question is, are they?
SntMag: What makes you different from other artists?
This whole new wave of rap honestly is upsetting. Its the era of great producers and catchy hooks, but lyrics are not even important. I feel that besides from me actually spitting some dope lyrics and something you can understand, It all blends perfect on dope beats to. I spit things people can relate to.
SntMag: Who do want you collaborate with?
Drake, Kanye West, J. Cole, Justing Timberlake & Bieber, ASAP, Bryson Tiller, The Weeknd & Wayne.
SntMag: In what ways has your newest music changed from when you first started?
I dont curse anymore, but just all together everything has gotten more on point. The beats, The flow, The mixing and mastering, The content, The Music Videos, etc..
SntMag: What are the main inspirations for the lyrics you write?
Usually how I’m feeling at the moment. If I’m in a good mood I tend to write something hype. If I’m going through drama or reminiscing about something then it tends to be more heartfelt.
SntMag: What would be your dream venue in which to perform?
I mean besides from Madison Square Gardens of course, it would definitely be the American Airlines Arena in Miami. I would love to do a back-to-back show there! Also, the O2 Arena in London.
