Searching Release By Working Memory

Brothers Casey Chanatry and Ryan Chanatry have shared a musical synchronicity since the mid-80s. Between the two of them, they’ve experimented with the trumpet, recorder, violin, bodhrán, and keys, before landing on guitar (Casey) and drums (Ryan).

Ryan found early musical success in a late ‘90s Phish cover ensemble, Logic, as well as lost to history super group, Sexual Mullet, both having played several epic high school talent and dance shows. Casey founded the Ohio & North Carolina based jam band, Jahman Brahman, known for their unique shred n’ flow playing style, captivating lyrics, and energetic live shows. Jahman toured the US for more than 10 years, playing major festivals including Bonnaroo, The Werk Out, Resonance, & Wormtown, and opened for Papadosio, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Twiddle, & Treehouse!. Their last album, Choose Your Channel, was described as “truly a mesmerizing journey”.

Coming together for the first time under the duo Working Memory, the brothers sonically explore a range of life experiences through an unusual psychedelic inspired indie pop and jam combination. Taking on loss, growth, depression, and hope, their first EP, Searching, constructs a complex layer of musical emotion centered around Casey’s signature guitar melodies and their eclectic, yet relatable songwriting.
