If you asked an artist how long they have been an artist many of them would probably think for a moment and then tell you that they have been creating art all of their lives. Then they might say that they just get paid for it now. That’s the way it is with dancers, musicians and actors too – they have been doing it all their lives but now they get paid for it. When we saw Paloma Fevi in a couple of her films we knew that she, too, had been acting all her life.
Paloma traveled from her native Peru all the way to New York City where she studied with some of the best acting teachers in the business. She was also in countless plays such as, God of Carnage, The Cherry Orchard, Two For The Seesaw, Children’s Hour, All This Intimacy and I Hate Hamlet, to name a few. She appeared in numerous commercials such as, Skin up Skin Care, Stella Rose Wine, Herklin Shampoo and ROC 360 Headphones by Cristiano Ronaldo, the legendary Portuguese footballer.
Paloma has performed in a great many films, some of which are, Itch, Go, Absent, Just in Case, The Crucifix and Cuchillos en el Cielo, the feature film directed by Alberto Durant. She also had a terrific part in Netflix’s Drug Lords, which is still a big hit and watched by millions.
Paloma was the lead actress in parodies of the internationally known artist FRANDA, nominated for an MTV Millenium Award and it received over 13 million views on YouTube. We have seen her as Franda’s nurse, love interest, sexy friend and dancer in Cancion de Amor, Taxi, Candy and No me inviten para Farmville. Paloma’s facial expressions and her expressive eyes are her signature. In one of the music videos she plays an angry girl throwing a shoe at Franda and in another she is a naughty nurse who injects him with medicine. She uses her finely honed acting skills to bring the character to life and to capture the attention of the viewers. “Her role was critical to the success of my musical videos,” said Franda, from Lima, Perú.
Her appearance on the international broadcast Al Fondo Hay Sitio, which was seen on Telemundo and America TV had close to 3 million viewers. Paloma is also known for the Free to be True (2018) TV Mini-Series for ALTA MED (The leading health care system providing care to more than 300,000 Southern California residents). She is now the lead actress in the upcoming feature film Dreaming Out Loud (2019) and host for the web series LA Scope (2018).
